General Landry: I am thankful for the Sheriffs in Acadiana helping us to get unnecessary drugs out of medicine cabinets and away from those who may misuse them.

General Landry: The opioid epidemic knows no bounds; it affects all regions, economic classes, ages, and demographics. So I am grateful to have partners like Sheriffs Hilton and McCain in our fight against this devastating and deadly problem.

General Landry: Congress should enact concealed-carry reciprocity legislation, to help implement and enforce the constitutional right to self-defense for millions of law-abiding Americans across the country.

General Landry: Our office is doing all we can to educate seniors about the real threat of elder fraud and help all consumers from falling victim to scams.

General Landry: As Attorney General, I am committed to doing all that I legally can to protect our State’s children from the vile predators roaming our streets.

General Landry: On Cyber Monday, and every day, it is important for consumers to practice safe online behavior and take the appropriates steps to protect themselves from scams.

General Landry: My Medicaid Fraud Control Unit works tirelessly to fight fraud, waste, and abuse in this welfare program that helps our State’s neediest.

General Landry: These arrests, especially the one of an illegal alien for exploiting children, should be a wake-up call to our lawmakers.

General Landry: As a father, I will do anything to protect my son; and as Attorney General, I will do all that I legally can to protect every child in our State.

General Landry: Our appeal to Congress is another step toward holding accountable the drug manufacturers and distributors who have helped fuel our opioid crisis.

General Landry: From our parents to our parishioners to our friends, Louisiana is blessed to have so many veterans live here; and I am honored to fight for them and their families. And today I am encouraging my neighbors across our State to thank a veteran.

General Landry: My office is dedicated to investigating crimes and bringing to justice those who break the law, especially public servants who abuse their power.

General Landry: These arrests should serve as a reminder to the State that my office will not stand for the exploitation of children.

General Landry: Caller ID spoofing, which is the practice of changing the caller ID to any number other than the one actually calling, is on the uptick in Louisiana.

General Landry: Today’s announcement is the latest step we are taking to make Louisiana a safer place for our families, friends, and guests.

General Landry: As a veteran, I joined many of our nation's finest to protect our rights and freedoms. And as Attorney General, I will continue doing all that I legally can to protect the military community from criminals targeting them with scams.
