General Landry: The Supreme Court must decide once again whether the Executive Branch can simply sidestep the people’s elected representatives in the Legislative Branch. As a strong supporter of the separation-of-powers, I hope they side with the Constitution and move toward ending this executive amnesty.

General Landry: My office and I will continue to do all we legally can to take child predators off Louisiana’s streets. We will use every tool in our arsenal to protect our State’s children.

General Landry: My office will continue to use our arrest authority to apprehend those accused of exploiting children. We will do all we legally can to arrest alleged child predators, anytime and anywhere.

General Landry: As your Attorney General, I am committed to making Louisiana a safer place for our families. Taking a moment to learn about these recalled child products can help ensure your child’s safety and the well-being of all our State’s children.

General Landry: As someone who has worked to protect the First Amendment rights of all, I applaud President Trump for taking action to protect religious freedom and conscience rights.

Solicitor General Murrill: This is a case with a complicated pre-trial history and significant competing policy interests; it simply boils down to the fact that when a defendant chooses to have an attorney represent him, he gives that attorney the right to shape his defense.

General Landry: On this day of remembrance, I pray all Louisianans remember what Dr. King taught us: that we are all created equally in the image of God and that we must measure people by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.

General Landry: I urge Louisiana consumers to check if their vehicles need service; and, if they do, to get this free recall repair as soon as possible.

General Landry: Protecting children from child predators has always been, and will continue to be, a priority of my office.

General Landry: This much-needed accountability measure will help reduce fraud, waste, and abuse in the Medicaid system and save the precious resources for those truly in need.

General Landry: Choosing to not enforce duly enacted laws is a dangerous precedent. Whether the law concerns the legality of marijuana or immigration, non-enforcement by the Department mandated to execute the laws is bad policy.

General Landry: Like we have seen with opioid manufacturers – companies like BIPI who misrepresent their drugs’ effects jeopardize the health of consumers.

General Landry: I will not sit idly while other states violate the rule of law, burden our farmers with illegal regulations, and drive up prices for our consumers.

General Landry: As a father, I am affected by all crimes involving the exploitation of Louisiana’s children. This is why my office and I are dedicated to bringing child predators to justice.
